September 6 — Strategic Planning
Location: Aina Haina Public Library
We’ve got some big decisions to make this coming year and we will be engaging in a strategic planning process to ensure we make wise decisions. As we sell the Honolulu branch house, we will have an opportunity to use the funds from the sale to make real and meaningful impact on the lives of women and girls in our communities, in our state and in the country. There are a lot of options in front of us as to how we choose to make our impact and the branch board is committed to engaging all the members of our branch in helping us decide how we are going to move forward together.
This process will help us make some initial decisions on how to invest the monies available from the sale of the house, and also identify how we want to focus our time, energy and efforts over the next few years. Finally, this process will also give the branch a long term decision making strategy so that we can continue to make fiscally sound investment decisions for years to come. We will be working with Deepti Gudipati, VP of Member Leadership Programs from the AAUW National office. Her background is in organizational consulting and she will be serving as our consultant in this planning process
The strategic planning process will be divided into 3 phases:
- Information gathering and assessment
- Education & Awareness
- Decision Making
September 6 will kick off the Decision Making Phase of the strategic planning process. Please join us in this important phase in determining the future of the branch and how we make a significant impact here in Hawaii.
