3 Financial Group
Financial Consultant

I was born and raised in a small mid-western town. I’m married, have a poi dog that my husband and I adopted from the Honolulu Humane Society, and now call Hawaii home. I earned my undergraduate degree in Fine Art Photography from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I then earned my Masters in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Shidler College of Business, where I specialized in Finance and Entrepreneurship.

In 2007, I founded 3 Financial Group, an independent financial planning firm, and maintain an office in Honolulu. I designed my business to create a space for the professional women of Hawaii to participate in creating comprehensive lifetime financial plans focused on their unique desires and ambitions. I host ongoing educational workshops and have been invited to be a guest speaker at a variety of local organizations. Additionally, my writing has been published and I have been profiled several times in the local media.

I volunteer in various local organizations, believing that seeing first-hand how our community works and what our community needs gives us a sense of ownership in our community. I’m on the board of directors of the Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunset, the American Association of University Women, the Hawaii Women’s Foundation, and the Hui O Na Wahine, and Planned Parenthood Hawaii. Additionally, I participate in various capacities in The Women’s Fund of Hawaii, the Hawaii Chapter of the Organization of Women Leaders, the YWCA, my church, and the Honolulu Academy of the Arts, among others.

I have always had an interest in financial matters and have developed my business model around empowering women by helping them take control of their financial futures. I devote personal time advocating for women’s issues, and appreciate the value of establishing a solid financial base in one’s personal and business life.

Least Known Fact About Me

I am also a fine-art photographer and have had my work exhibited in group and solo shows. I also lived in Mexico and speak Spanish. Bringing the two together, I was commissioned to photograph the tequila making process for a Las Vegas tequila bar.
