Scholarships and Grants

One of AAUW Honolulu’s core missions is to serve the community by furthering the educational opportunities of girls and women and for gender parity in the workplace.

One of AAUW Honolulu’s core missions is to serve the community through workplace and economic opportunities for women, who have often been underserved – this includes empowering women through undergraduate and graduate education.

We offer academic scholarships for women in Hawaii who are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate studies. In 2018, the scholarships we awarded $140,000 to qualified women in Hawaii who enrolled in colleges and universities. This scholarship is administered through the Hawaii Community Foundation.

The Tweet Coleman Aviation Scholarship is awarded to one woman a year who is pursuing a career in aviation. A previous undergraduate or graduate degree is required.

We also offer scholarships to women in college in Hawaii to attend NCCWSL, AAUW’s national leadership conference held in Maryland, usually in late May to June.
